Dr. Heather Paulus - Optometrist

Dr. Heather Paulus is a 2015 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. A Toledo area native, she was excited to move back to the area upon graduation to practice alongside Dr. Thomas Cable and expand her knowledge in Vision Therapy and Binocular Vision before he retired.

Dr. Paulus strives to provide the highest quality of eye care to her patients of all ages, wanting to be the kind of doctor that she herself would want to go see. She loves connecting with her patients and helping them reach their full visual potential.

Dr. Paulus resides in Toledo with her husband, Josh, and two young children, Brody and Brooklynn. In her spare time, Dr. Paulus enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and taking their two dogs for walks.

Dr. Sarah Guzak - Optometrist

Dr. Sarah Guzak is a 2021 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Optometry. She is originally from Cranberry Township, PA, but moved to the Toledo area after graduation to be with her husband, Dr. Kevin Guzak, & to begin her career as an optometrist. Dr. Guzak is extremely excited to be a part of the amazing team at Maumee Center for Eyecare! Dr. Guzak knew she wanted to be an optometrist since 9th grade. Growing up, her optometrist was always her favorite doctors appointment. Knowing how much she and other value their eyesight, Dr. Guzak pursued a career in optometry to help people maintain healthy eyes and vision. She resides in Monclova with her husband, Kevin. In her spare time, Dr. Guzak enjoys cooking, swimming, concerts, and visiting family and friends.

Sue - Office Manager

Sue is our office manager and resident social butterfly. She has been working with us for over 18 years! Her favorite part of her job is working with all of the staff; she says it keeps her young! Sue has two daughters, Lynn, one of our vision therapists at Maumee Center for Eyecare, and Anne. She has a granddaughter named Kate whom she loves to spoil. In her free time, Sue enjoys gardening and going out to lunch with her friends.

Amy - Receptionist

Amy is our rockstar receptionist who keeps us all running smoothly! She has been working at Maumee Center for Eyecare since 2017. Amy’s role is to check in and check out our patients, schedule appointments, handle billing, and pre-testing patients. Her favorite part of the job is working with the staff and patients who all feel like family. She has been with her husband for 21 years and together they have a 18 year old daughter who has a scholarship to Ohio State University. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, riding motorcycles with her husband, and reading.

Erin - Ophthalmic Technician

Erin is our head ophthalmic technician; she has over 15 years of optical experience and has been with Maumee Center for Eyecare since 2010. She currently works the front desk, pre-tests patients for the doctor, and does glaucoma testing. Her favorite part of the job is getting to know our patients and their families as they return each year. Erin has a husband, Marcus, of eleven years and together they have three boys; Braydyn (16), Mason (12), and Max (6). They have a dog and two cats. Erin loves watching her boys play sports, shopping, drinking coffee, and vacationing to Florida! She also just started coaching cheerleading at Woodmore Middle School, which has always been a dream of hers!

Lynn - Vision Therapist

Lynn is one of our resident Vision Therapists; she has over 26 years of experience! Her favorite part of her job is working with the children, seeing their progress, and watching their self-esteem build! She loves making positive changes in the patients’ lives through the VT program. Lynn has a husband, Greg, who she has been married to for 18 years; their anniversary is Valentine’s Day! Lynn loves going to sporting events with her husband, swimming, and watching her niece play volleyball, basketball, and softball!

Pam - Vision Therapist

Pam is also one of our Vision Therapists at Maumee Center for Eyecare; she has been a vision therapist for over 20 years! Her favorite part of her day is helping others, seeing her patients succeed, and working with our wonderful staff. Pam’s favorite hobbies are reading, attending sporting events, and going to church to spend time with Jesus.

Wendi - Optician

Wendi is an optician at Maumee Center for Eyecare; she has over 27 years of optical experience and she joined our team in 2018! Her favorite part of her job is helping people look their best AND see their best! Wendi has a husband of 37 years, two daughters, and one dog. Wendi loves to travel, read, and create stained glass art.

Kendyll - Optical Technician

Kendyll has been a technician at Maumee Center for Eyecare since 2018. Her favorite part of her job is getting to meet new patients, hearing their stories, and working with our staff that feels like family! Kendyll has been married to her husband, Joe, for two years. She and Joe live in their home (or zoo) with three dogs and three cats! Her hobbies include traveling, fashion, and game nights with friends and family.

Jennifer - Operations

Jennifer is our newest member to the Maumee Center for Eyecare family. She will greet you at the front desk when you arrive along with making your appointments, taking insurance information, and checking you out when you leave the office! Her favorite part of working at Maumee Center for eyecare is working with all of our patients. She has been with her husband, Dave, for 29 years. They have 2 sons, 4 beautiful grandchildren, and 3 dogs. Her hobbies include boating, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Miranda - Optician

Miranda is an optician, though she is happy to help wherever she is needed; she has been working with us since 2018. Her favorite part of her job is helping patients and customers choose frames that fit their personality. Miranda loves being an aunt to her niece and nephew. Her hobbies include crafting, loving on animals, eating desserts, and going on adventures!
